API Inspector

Job Overview

Instruplant Limited is now hiring API 510/570 Inspectors for our Caribbean field operations. Must be willing to travel across the Caribbean, Trinidad, Guyana and Suriname and cover projects and turnarounds as needed.

Responsibilities:

• At the direction of client, perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standard 653, American Petroleum Institute (API) standard 510 and American Petroleum Institute (API) standard 570.
• Submit to client technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide client with technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment, as required for safe operation within stated operating parameters for durations specified by client.
• Provide technical input to client as required for welding and metallurgical issues.
• Provide technical guidance, on an application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
• Fully comply with all Instruplant and client safe work practices and actively participate in all site safety initiatives
• Monitor the use of approved procedures during the inspection and examination activities or have knowledge of NDT techniques (RT, UT, MT, PT, PMI, ET, FT and etc.) including evaluation methods
• Welding inspection, procedures, techniques, and personnel qualifications.

Requirements:

• Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers.
• Certification to American Petroleum Institute Standard API 570 and 570. API 653 a plus.
• Requires certification(s) in the relevant inspection discipline and 2+ years of experience applying the discipline skill to oil and gas equipment.
